Jessica Dogali

Owner & Clinical Director
With a vision for building something meaningful, Jessica brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. She has created this practice with the intention of providing quality mental health care that is rooted in compassion, care, and integrity.
Jessica is a New York State and Florida State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with her diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D). She has her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University, as well as her Bachelors in both Psychology and Business from Adelphi University. Jessica is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York, a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH). She also has a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Alfred University and is a Certified School Counselor in New York State. Jessica has experience working in community agencies, addiction treatment settings, mental health clinics, hospitals, school districts, and on college & university campuses. She has experience working with families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children. Jessica’s experience and training has well prepared her to work with patients from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of needs. Jessica specializes in adults and couples counseling, and has extensive experience in working with individuals who have been impacted by a loved one’s addiction.
Jessica has completed training and has received certification in Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET-CBT5) which enhances your motivation to change and provides you with the confidence to achieve your goals. Her training is based in Psychodynamic Therapy which is the therapeutic technique she utilizes when working with her patients. Psychodynamic treatment helps you grow interpersonally and move forward in your life by taking a careful look at your past and exploring how it may be impacting you presently. Jessica identifies her therapeutic style as Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic, however she also utilizes Integrative Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Theory. Jessica’s clinical work is specifically tailored to your needs so you can get the most from your work together.
Jessica has been very involved in the Mental Health community in New York since she started working in the field in 2010. Jessica served as a member of the Executive Board for the New York Mental Health Counselors Association Long Island Chapter (LINYMHCA) for five years where her position focused on advocating the importance of mental health. Jessica is a Professor at Adelphi University in the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology where she teaches in the Masters in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs since 2013.
Jessica has supervised many new clinicians and has overseen dozens of pre-licnesed clinicians through their clinical experience for licensure. Jessica oversees the entire practice and all of it’s clinical staff and is personally involved in every single patient’s care.
Jessica has been in private practice since 2013 and has worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families. Jessica is a dedicated, empathetic, and a passionate therapist who is committed to helping you grow and flourish.
Frauke Davidow, LMHC
Clinical Director and SupervisorFrauke is warm, intuitive, and takes great pride as our Clinical Director and Supervisor. In addition to seeing her own patients, Frauke oversees and supervises all of our pre-licensed clinicians. She values the clinical rapport she has with each of her supervises and upholds the highest level of integrity and ethics in her teaching.
Frauke is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Masters in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. Frauke has experience working in community agencies, public school districts, and on university and college campuses. Frauke has extensive experience in treating substance use disorders, creating leadership development for student-athletes, and in providing performance-focused work with athletes.
Frauke’s therapy approach is client-centered and sees each of her clients as unique. Her therapeutic style is Integrative, where she utilizes Strength-Based Psychology and Positive Psychology and utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Frauke finds great values in introducing mindfulness and meditation in her work with her patients and sees the value they offer when utilizing them when treating anxiety. Frauke believes that in order to grow and heal, one must first develop a true sense of self by reflecting on the many different parts and interpersonal dynamics of their lives.
ClinicianJaqueline Finch, LMHC
Jaqueline is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who graduated from the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University with her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Jaqueline has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults and also works with many couples in our practice.
Jaqueline has experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in various capacities and settings. Jaqueline completed a clinical internship at Alberta B. Gray Schultz Middle School in Hempstead, NY where she provided counseling services to mandated and non-mandated students in both group and individual therapy settings. She has experience in implementing and executing Too Good for Violence, an evidence-based violence prevention program for children and adolescents. Jaqueline has completed her post graduate training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Adelphi University. Jaqueline is also a member of the New York State Mental Health Counselors Association Long Island Chapter.
Jaqueline’s goal is to provide her clients with the best possible therapeutic care through demonstrating understanding and warmth. She see’s each of her clients as unique individuals and treats them in the context of their own unique culture, values, and life experiences.
Intake Coordinator & ClinicianSheila Mathew, LMHC
Sheila is the Intake Coordinator at Jessica Dogali Mental Health Counseling and is the first person a potential new patient speaks with when looking to start therapy. She is both the face and the voice of our practice and takes great pride in being each patinet’s first point of contact at our practice. Sheila is warm, epathetic, and demonstrates a true understanding and validation. In addition to Intake Coordinator, Sheila is also a Clinician in the practice where she works with adults and couples.
Sheila is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in both New York and Texas. She received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College. Sheila has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Sheila tailors her treatment style to meet the specific needs and preferences of her patients. Sheila is an active board member for the Pastoral Counseling Center where she has worked specifically on the importance of community development and outreach. She offers Spiritual Counseling to those patients who express interest;
Sheila has extensive training in nutrition and fitness and has expertise in the connection that this has to mental health. She has a background as a personal trainer and offers a magnitude of knowledge when it comes to the mind/body connection. Sheila utilizes various counseling techniques in her work with patients and regularly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Sheila is empathetic and intuitive and is dedicated to building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients where they ultimately feel uniquely validated and heard.
ClinicianRia Kopanos, LMHC
Ria is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and Florida with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. Ria has extensive experience and training in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has worked in various clinical settings, such as non-profit, community agencies, school dsitrict, residential settings, hospitals, and in community based programs and treatment. She has background and training in trauma informed treatment and has worked with many individuals who have experienced trauma. Ria’s work focuses on empowering her patients to overcome barriers, reach their true potential, and achieve success through education, mentoring, and social justice advocacy. Ria is trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis Management, Anger Management, Rape Crisis Counseling and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Ria is a dedicated and passionate therapist who believes in meeting her patients exactly where they are. Through collaboration, education, and empowerment, Ria is dedicated helping her patients achieve their therapeutic goals and develop skills that can lead to an overall healthier lifestyle.
Clinician & Clinical SupervisorLauren Trautmann, LCSW
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College. Lauren has experience history of working in hospital settings, outpatient settings, school districts, and within Child and Family Services. Lauren holds a Permanent Certificate in School Social Work with New York State and works as a School Social Worker in a local Public School District. As a school social worker, Lauren has experience collaborating with teachers and families to create a safe and supportive learning environment for every child. Lauren’s clinical skill set combined with her compassion, energy, and cultural competence cultivates students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs in the academic setting to help facilitate lifelong success.
Lauren creates a nonjudgmental, safe environment for her clients in efforts of supporting them in better navigating all of life’s challenges. Lauren has experience working with adults, adolescents and families. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, trauma, life stressors, life transitions, and low self-esteem. She is experienced in a variety of treatment modalities such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Strengths-Based Approaches.
Lauren also oversees some of our pre-licensed clinicians as a clinical supervisor in our practice. She values the collaborative relationship with her supervisees and finds great satisfaction in teaching newer clinicians.
Clinician & Clinical SupervisorRachel Lee, LCSW
Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Masters in Social Work from Quinnipiac University. Rachel has experience working in schools, college and universities, and within Child and Family Services. Rachel holds a Permanent Certificate in School Social Work with New York State and has worked as a School Social Worker at a New York City school. In her experience as a School Social Worker, Rachel has supported students while collaborating with teachers and families to ensure the well-being of each child in their learning environment and beyond. Rachel educates and encourages the social/emotional aspects of her client’s daily lives to promote lifelong skills to effectively manage mental health. Presently, Rachel oversees Masters Social Work students in the University setting.
Rachel has experience in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, and those who have been victims of abuse. Rachel applies a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Play Therapy. As a clinician, Rachel’s goal is to create a calm and empathetic space to ensure each client feels supported. Rachel recognizes the work and effort it takes to better yourself and the overall personal investment that therapy is. Rachel focuses her sessions on validating her clients and working with them to gain the skills needed to improve their overall well-being.
ClinicianGina Fries, MHC-LP
Gina is a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) who received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University. Her work primarily focuses on treating adolescents and adults, and has a particular interest in supporting individual navigating trauma, life and career transitions, women’s issues, and workplace burnout. Gina is especially passionate about career counseling and enjoys working with patient’s who are feeling unfulfilled in their professional lives by helping them reconnect with a sense of purpose and direction.
Gina has experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relational concerns, and burnout. Her clinical approach is integrative, in which she uses evidence based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Gina’s approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual client. Her goal is to help her clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop a deeper emotional understanding of themselves.
