Jessica Dogali

LMHC-D, CASAC, MAC, BC-TMH

Owner & Clinical Director

With the intention and vision of building something meaningful, Jessica created this practice with the goal of providing quality mental health care that is rooted in compassion, care, and integrity.

Jessica is a New York State and Florida State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with her diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D). She has her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University, as well as her Bachelors in both Psychology and Business from Adelphi University. Jessica also has her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Alfred University and is a Certified School Counselor in New York State. Jessica is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York, a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH). She is trained in certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET-CBT5).

Jessica’s training is based in Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Theory. Her therapeutic style is Psychodynamic and Integrative with influence of Psychoanalytic Theory and Family Systems Theory. Jessica utilizes her clinical skillset and approach to help her client’s grow interpersonally by gaining a deep understanding of their past and exploring how it may be impacting them presently. Jessica specifically tailors her clinical work to each of her client’s unique needs so her patients can see the most change and impact from their work together.

Jessica served as a member of the Executive Board for the New York Mental Health Counselors Association Long Island Chapter (LINYMHCA) for five years where her position focused on advocating the importance of mental health across New York State. Jessica is a Professor at Adelphi University in the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology where she teaches in the Masters in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs since 2013.

Jessica has experience working in community agencies, addiction treatment settings, mental health clinics, hospitals, school districts, and on college & university campuses. She has experience working with families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children. Jessica’s experience and training has well prepared her to work with patients from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of needs. She specializes in couples counseling, and has extensive experience and training in working with individuals who have been impacted by a loved one’s addiction.

Frauke Davidow, LMHC

Clinical Supervisor & Clinician

Frauke is warm, intuitive, and takes great pride in her role as Clinical Supervisor. In addition to seeing her own patients, Frauke oversees and supervises all of our pre-licensed clinicians. She values the clinical rapport she has with each of her supervises and upholds the highest level of integrity and ethics in her teaching.

Frauke is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Masters in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. Frauke has experience working in community agencies, substance abuse treatment settings, school districts, and on university and college campuses. Frauke has extensive experience and training in leadership development for student-athletes and specializes in performance-focused treatment for athletes.

Frauke’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, seeing each of her clients as unique. Her therapeutic style is integrative, utilizing Strength-Based Psychology and Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Frauke incorporates mindfulness techniques and meditation in her work with clients. She believes that in order to grow and heal, one must better understand the many different parts of themselves in efforts of developing a true sense of self.

Sheila Mathew, LMHC

Intake Coordinator & Clinician

Sheila is our practice Intake Coordinator, in addition to seeing patients of her own. Sheila is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in both New York and Texas. She received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College. Sheila has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Sheila tailors her treatment style to meet the specific needs and preferences of her patients. She is an active board member of the Pastoral Counseling Center, where she works specifically on community development and outreach. She offers Spiritual Based Counseling to patients who express interest.

Sheila’s background is in nutrition and fitness, where she has has extensive training and expertise in physical health and the connection it has to mental health. She uses her background as a personal trainer in her work while offering a deep understanding and knowledge of the mind/body connection.

Sheila utilizes various counseling techniques in her work with patients and describes her therapeutic approach as rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Sheila is empathetic and intuitive. She is dedicated to building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients in which they ultimately feel uniquely validated and heard. 

Ria Kopanos, LMHC

Ria is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and Florida with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. Ria has extensive experience and training in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has worked in various clinical settings, such as community agencies, school districts, residential settings, hospitals, and in community based programs. She has background and training in trauma informed treatment. Ria’s clinical work focuses on empowering her patients to overcome obstacles in efforts of reaching their true potential. Ria has postgraduate training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis Management, Anger Management, Rape Crisis Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). 

Ria is a dedicated and passionate therapist who believes in meeting her patients exactly where they are. Through collaboration, education, and empowerment, Ria is dedicated helping her patients achieve their therapeutic goals and develop skills that can lead to a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Lauren Trautmann, LCSW

Clinician

Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College. Lauren has experience working in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, school districts, and within Child and Family Services. Lauren holds a Permanent Certificate in School Social Work in New York State and works as a School Social Worker. As a School Social Worker, Lauren has experience collaborating with teachers and families to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for every child.

Lauren’s clinical background and skills combined with her compassion, energy, and cultural competence help cultivate the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of her clients. Lauren offers a nonjudgmental and safe space for her clients in efforts of supporting them in navigating their personal challenges. Lauren has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience treating individuals who present with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, trauma, life stressors, life transitions, and low self-esteem. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.

Rachel Lee, LCSW

Clinician

Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Masters in Social Work from Quinnipiac University. Rachel has experience working in schools, college and universities, and within Child and Family Services. Rachel holds a Permanent Certificate in School Social Work with New York State and has worked as a School Social Worker. In her experience as a School Social Worker, Rachel has supported students while collaborating with teachers and families to ensure the well-being of each child in their learning environment and beyond. Rachel educates and encourages the social/emotional aspects of her client’s daily lives in efforts of promoting lifelong skills to effectively manage mental health.

Rachel has experience in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Rachel applies a variety of treatment modalities in her work with clients, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Play Therapy.

As a clinician, Rachel’s goal is to create a calm and empathetic space to ensure that each client feels supported. Rachel focuses her sessions around the needs of her clients with the intention of helping them gain the skills needed to improve their overall well-being and mental health.

Gina Fries, MHC-LP

Clinician

Gina is a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) who received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. Her work primarily focuses on treating adolescents and adults. She has experience in treating individuals navigating trauma, life and career transitions, women’s issues, and workplace burnout. Gina is especially passionate about career counseling and enjoys working with patient’s who are feeling unfulfilled in their professional lives by helping them reconnect with a sense of purpose and direction.

Gina has experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, and burnout. Her clinical approach is integrative, in which she uses evidence based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Gina’s approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual client. Her goal is to help her clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop a deeper emotional understanding of themselves.
